Laser General Surgery - A physical exam is done on all patients prior to surgery and anesthetics. Each pet recieves specifically tailored anesthetics to provide the best quality care possible. Pain medication is given before the surgery and in many cases will be sent home for you pets comfort at home. Laser surgery provides less pain, less bleeding and a quicker recovery for your pet! Laser surgery is perfect for spays, neuters, tumor removal, soft palate surgeries for bulldogs, and more! Our surgery table is heated to ensure your pet stays warm during the surgical procedure. We care about the comfort and safety of your pet!
Preventative Health Care - Our goal is to keep your pet healthy! We follow the AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association) protocol for recommended vaccinations. Yearly well visits, examinations, vaccinations, heartworm testing and prevention are all important in maintaining your pet's health. We also offer wellness and sick pet blood profiles, early detection profiles and senior blood profiles for aging pets. With over a half million physical examinations done by Dr. Harkey, he has extensive experience with puppies and unusual diseases!
Vaccinations - Our vaccination protocols are customized to your pets specific needs for protection in the environment that they live in.
Dentistry - We offer routine dental procedures. We use ultrasonic scalers to clean all teeth thoroughly then polish each tooth to help prevent future plaque development.
Reproductive Counseling - We offer ovulation timing, in-house progesterone assays, artificial insemination, surgical insemination, endoscopic trans-cervical insemination and ceasarian sections.
Radiographs Taken On Site - Our in-house x-ray machine and automatic processor provide us with valuable information in making a diagnosis. We also offer OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) x-rays.
Complete Pharmacy - We have a wide variety of veterinary drugs. We also can get many hard to find drugs from our compounding pharmacies. Microchipping - We offer microchipping that provides life-long identification. This identification can give you a better chance of being reunited should your pet ever become lost.
Dog Food - We carry Royal Canin dog food. We carry non-prescription and prescription varieties that will meet all your pets nutritional needs.
In House Laboratory - With a full in-house laboratory, we have quick results to help us to diagnose and treat your pets! We also do pre-operative bloodwork prior to most surgical procedures to ensure your pet is healthy enough for surgery.
